Blood Orange-Raspberry Spritzer from thelittlekitchen.net

I'm excited to share this recipe with you and my backyard makeover with World Market!

It's hot out right? I feel like I keep saying that but it has been. Luckily, it's been raining a lot in the middle of the day down here so 1. it cools it down a little bit and 2. my flowers and my basil plants look amazing. Here's a drink that will help you beat the heat!

For this recipe, I wanted to make a cocktail with the Lorina Prestige Sparkling Blood Orange Soda. Have you had a blood orange drink before? I love them and it was super easy to make a cocktail. I had fun playing with these and you can add less or more alcohol depending on your taste! I really enjoyed these!

World Market Backyard Makeover

And now I'm so excited to share with you, our backyard makeover thanks to World Market! We had so much fun shopping there . And I had so much fun putting the flowers together. I love having a space to sit in our backyard.

And don't you just love the colors? I had no idea turquoise and bright orange would go so well. The orange was Curtis' choice and the turquoise was mine!

World Market Backyard Makeover

There's Angel stopping to smell the flowers. By the way, I can't believe we adopted her over a year ago! She's still a puppy at heart for sure.

And there's the full view with the umbrella. The patio pavers, Curtis and my brother put them in a year or two(?) after we moved in. They have been mostly empty except for potted plants and we'll bring the new furniture out when we entertain but we'll mostly keep them on our covered back porch. I can't wait for Curtis to redo covered back porch!

Angel the dog

Doesn't she look like she's smiling?

Charley the dog

And Charley says he approves of our patio furniture. Charley and Angel were both so excited when we set up the furniture, they had to explore and sniff everything.

I have to say my experience shopping at World Market has always been great. Curtis doesn't want me to tell you the story about how he accidentally pulled a 6-pack of beer from the shelf and another one came tumbling down and they were so nice about it. He felt so terrible and embarrassed but the store associates were really nice about it. They were just worried about him getting hurt.

And I can tell you about us not being able to find the matching table with the Valencia outdoor furniture and how I found them at a location an hour away and how nice they were to deal with.

and they also have such fun plates, napkins, bowls, cups and mugs…

Back to the recipe! It's the perfect recipe for your next backyard get together. 🙂 I bought the other Lorina French soda flavors too, Lemonade and Pink Citrus Lemonade, I can't wait to try them.

I absolutely love your backyard! That is the set I have had my eye on, and I love the colors of the pillows you put with it. So much fun for entertaining in the summer!
And the blood orange soda is my favorite flavor, what a great cocktail!
