12 days of giveaways: Day 9 – Yonanas and Dole! (Closed)

A couple of months ago, I was invited to attend the Dole Bananas Blogger Summit at Disneyland, California. We got to try a bunch of wonderful banana recipes and see a little bit of Disneyland and California Adventure thanks to Dole. And I love the facts we learned about bananas.

Did you know you can tenderize a roast with banana peels? Wrap them in the peels while you’re marinating it.

Did you know that it’s easier to peel a banana from the bottom?

I hadn’t been to Disneyland since I was a kid…I’m not sure what age but after moving from Southern California to Florida, I have more memories of Disney World. It was nice to go back to the original Disney Park.

We saw the Enchanted Tiki Room and had Dole Whips – I can’t believe this is the first time I had one…they have them at Disney World too…sooooo good!

I had to ride the Star Tours ride too. Hehe

And we had front row seats for an amazing light show called World of Color. Seriously, amazing…watch the video.

And I had one of my new favorite breakfasts…a popular Dole breakfast recipe called Dole Sunrise Pizzas. A must make for anyone that likes waffles and bananas!

Banana’s are such a versatile fruit. One of my favorite deserts is jello made with sliced banana’s. Good luck to everyone in this contest.
